R Mukundan to be new MD of Tata Chemicals

Tata Chemicals Ltd (TCL) announced that Mr R Mukundan will be the new Managing Director of the company, when the current Managing Director, Homi Khusrokhan retires in December 2008, upon reaching the age of superannuation.

The company's board also appointed R Mukundan, Kapil Mehan and P K Ghose as Executive Directors of the company, a company statement said here. The company also appointed E K Kshirshagar as Additional Director.

MR Mukundan, joined the Tata Administrative Service in 1990. As Executive Vice President since 2007, he presently heads the global chemicals business and the consumer products business. Prior to joining Tata Chemicals he worked in the Group's automotiv e and hospitality businesses. - PTI
